Cheetah conservation fund uk.
The Cheetah Conservation Fund is a charity started by Dr. Laurie Marker in Namibia in 1990. As global leader in cheetah research, as well as the ecosystems that surround them, CCF is working to develop the best practices for cheetah conservation research and conservation worldwide.
CCF UK raises money and awareness in the UK for cheetah conservation. All proceeds go towards CCF.
As an Ambassador and UK Trustee, I first help to make decisions about how and why to implement certain conservation strategies as well as promoting and supporting the charity to the public.
current projects.
somaliland safehouse.
CCF works in Somaliland to support the confiscation of and care for confiscated cheetahs in a Cheetah Safe House. They collaborate with Governmental agencies and NGOs to achieve this.
sponsor a cheetah.
Sponsoring a cheetah is one of the better ways to support cheetah conservation. Money is one of the life-bloods of keeping these projects going, and repeated and reliable payments can be more valuable than larger one-off sums.
Livestock guard dogs.
One of the primary reasons for the decline of the cheetah is human-wildlife conflict. Cheetahs often live on unprotected land, and keeping track of free-roaming cattle can be a tall order for a farmer with the worlds fastest land mammal about. CCF helps train and distribute guard dogs, that scare cheetahs off reducing the incidences of conflict.
